The company is driven by 01 director, 03 permanent employees and 05 temporary workers who are collectively involved in the growth of the business. The services we offer are based on the industry’s highest standards fueled by the combined employee’s 35 years of work experience in the operation, maintenance and project management sectors.

We firmly believe that skilled labor people are crucial in the delivery of our services to our clients. We have instituted a program of education and self-improvement for everyone to ensure that all our direct-field labors are equipped with the right skills, knowledge and attitude for the roles that are assigned to them. This strategy is employed in order to ensure that our most important resources execute their duties diligently and confidently.

The company was founded on principle of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment and seek to take advantage of opportunities that exist for BBBEE contributor and therefore enjoy 135% BEE recognition under the current legislation. Central to the company strategy is the development and empowerment of other small, medium and micro enterprises (SMME’s).

The company is currently registered with the CIDB as level PE 1EP. We are also registered with ECA (Electrical Contractors Association SA) and Department of Labor as an Electrical Contractor.

Rejoice Moropyane

Chief Executive Officer - MWP Projects (PTY) Ltd.

Ms. Rejoice Moropyane is the driving force behind MWP Projects — a company built on innovation, integrity, and a passion for engineering excellence.


She holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current), a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and a Programme in Project Management (PPM) qualification from the University of Pretoria. Her professional certifications include PLC, SCADA, HMI and Ignition SCADA systems.


With a strong background in Process and Instrumentation, PLC & SCADA systems, and Electrical Control Engineering, she brings both technical expertise and visionary leadership to the organization.


Under her leadership, MWP Projects has grown into a trusted partner for water utilities, municipalities, and industrial clients across South Africa, providing practical automation and instrumentation solutions that improve plant performance and reliability.


Rejoice’s leadership philosophy is grounded in empowerment and accountability. She believes in developing people as much as technology — creating opportunities for young professionals, particularly women in engineering, to grow and lead with confidence.

ERWAT Hartebeestfontein Water Treatment Plant - Inlet Upgrade

MWP PROJECTS (Pty) Ltd undertook the resuscitation and rehabilitation of the existing inlet works automation and control systems to restore plant functionality, improve operational reliability and enhance process control.


The scope of work included comprehensive electrical and automation fault-finding, assessment of existing PLC hardware and control infrastructure, PLC reprogramming and development of a new control application, as well as the design and configuration of a new Human Machine Interface (HMI) for equipment monitoring, control and fault indication.


The project further involved the replacement and configuration of defective Digital Input (DDI), Digital Output (DDO) and Network Option Card (NOC) modules, restoration of industrial communication networks, verification of field input and output signals, and integration of existing mechanical and electrical equipment into the revised control system.


Additional activities included development and verification of equipment operating sequences, interlocks, alarm handling and control logic, followed by functional testing, troubleshooting and commissioning to restore automated operation of the inlet works.


The project demonstrates MWP PROJECTS' technical capabilities in PLC and HMI development, industrial automation, electrical and control system rehabilitation, communication network integration and wastewater treatment plant resuscitation.

Sondela Booster Pump Station | 400 kW Pump PLC Integration and Automation

MWP PROJECTS (Pty) Ltd undertook PLC integration and automation engineering works for the 400 kW booster pumping system at Sondela Booster Pump Station, focusing on improving pump control, operational reliability and system performance.


The scope of work included assessment of the existing electrical and control infrastructure, PLC programming and configuration, integration of pump motor control systems, and development and verification of automated pump operating sequences.


Additional engineering activities included integration of motor status and fault feedback signals, configuration of pump start/stop commands, implementation of control interlocks and equipment protection logic, and verification of communication between the PLC and associated electrical equipment.


The project also involved electrical and automation fault-finding, input/output signal verification, functional testing and commissioning support to ensure reliable pump operation and effective integration with the existing plant control system.


The project highlights MWP PROJECTS' expertise in high-power pumping applications, PLC programming, motor control integration, industrial automation and water infrastructure engineering.

Magalies Water – Moretele Pump Station | Capacity Upgrade and Plant Performance Improvement

MWP PROJECTS (Pty) Ltd contributed to the capacity upgrade and optimisation of Moretele Pump Station through electrical engineering, PLC programming, process instrumentation and industrial automation integration aimed at improving pumping efficiency, system reliability and overall plant performance.


The scope of work included assessment and troubleshooting of existing electrical and automation systems, PLC control logic development and modifications, integration of pump control equipment, and optimisation of automated pumping sequences to support improved operational performance.


Engineering activities further included verification of field instrumentation and control signals, integration of motor control and pump status feedback, configuration of operating interlocks, alarm management and fault monitoring, as well as troubleshooting of industrial communication systems.


Additional works involved functional testing, verification of PLC input and output signals, system integration and commissioning support to ensure coordinated operation of the pumping equipment and associated control infrastructure.


The project demonstrates MWP PROJECTS' capabilities in pumping station automation, PLC programming, electrical and instrumentation engineering, process optimisation and rehabilitation of water infrastructure.

ERWAT – Welgedacht Wastewater Treatment Plant | Sludge Pump Control System Rectification

MWP PROJECTS (Pty) Ltd undertook the rectification and rehabilitation of the existing sludge pump control system at Welgedacht Wastewater Treatment Plant, focusing on restoring reliable pump operation, improving automation functionality and enhancing overall process efficiency.


The scope of work involved comprehensive electrical and control system fault-finding, assessment of existing pump control circuits, troubleshooting of PLC control logic, and identification and rectification of faults affecting sludge pumping operations.


Engineering activities included verification of motor control circuits, pump start/stop commands, operational status feedback, fault indications, control interlocks and associated field instrumentation. The works also involved troubleshooting electrical control panels, checking input and output signals, and verifying communication between the control system and pumping equipment.


Additional activities included functional testing of pump operating sequences, verification of automatic and manual control functions, system troubleshooting and commissioning support to restore reliable operation of the existing sludge pumping infrastructure.

PLC Integration for 400kW Sondela Booster Pumps

MWP Projects successfully completed the automation and commissioning of the Sondela booster pump station. As part of this project, we programmed and implemented a PLC control system that enabled the reliable starting of the 400 kW booster pumps. 

The system was integrated with the existing plant infrastructure, and we successfully started and tested the pump, ensuring smooth and stable operation.
